Blog, Inc.: Blogging For Passion, Profit, And To Create Community (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
At first, I wasn't that into this book. Then, I decided to look up each blog on my computer as I read about them and it made me much more interested. I really enjoyed the book adding the visual element and pulled things out of each section I can apply to blogging and social strategy. "We found that when reading blogs, people respond to your taste in addition to the work you can produce. We wanted people to come to our site because they like our content, and then maybe they'd learn about our work too." Jay B Sauceda, Public School I really enjoyed the first +/- 100 pages of this book, but then it started talking about business plans and money making which is so incredibly out of my reach and interest field that it just became a little boring. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed the different interviews and how the book talks about a lot of different types of blogs, which makes it easy to get inspiration for yours without being at risk of just copying what it says in the book. Now the real question is: how long is this book going to stay relevant?
