This book had me from the very first page. I was intrigued by the antagonist and his reasoning behind his attacks. You don't find out until the end what that is ands it was very well done. The author did a great job of making the characters relatable and on more than one occasion, I was yelling at my kindle at the characters behavior. Not normally a crime solving type of reader, but this one did a great job of explaining things without being obvious. This is the 3rd book in a series and although I thought it was pretty good, it did not grab me as much as the 1st two books. Like others, I did not really like the ending, but I do like the characters. The story is about 2 lonely and shy people, who find each other because of a terrible crime. Sydowski and Reed are two hard boiled veterans and the author keeps them true to character. I like this author and I will definitely be reading more of his stories.
Kept me on my toes and then had a mediocre ending.. I love endings.. but not this one
