Talk about explosive...these two characters are really short fused.I really enjoyed the dynamics between Caleb and Leila. Both have so much at stake and both are fighting with everything they've got to fight their feelings for each other.Leila's blood is deadly to all vampires except for the chosen one.Caleb is loyal to his family and his kind and is willing to do whatever it takes to see to the survival of his kind; up to and including killing the most powerful serryn to ever have lived.Their story is one of survival, loyalty, and determination. Of making difficult choices and choosing between matters of the heart and loyalty to their respective species. I definitely enjoyed this story, including the secondary characters: Jake and Alisha.Highly recommend!! The tedious nature of the game played between these two is riveting.Leila and Caleb are equals in everyway, both staunch believers in their cause yet unrelenting in their desire for the other.I enjoyed Blood Roses immensely. The passionate sparring was supremely entertaining.Ms. Pryor is a superb writer. I enjoy her writing style tremendously. Well written and engaging, Blood Roses is a must read.Enjoy!
