The last two books in the Edie Spence series were the best so far. The author has really developed Edie as a character and it's been interesting to watch Edie come into her own throughout the series. I also believe that Cassie Alexander has gotten better at plotting, something that seemed to be a weak spot of her in the earlier books. Edie's turn as a daytimer has been intriguing and watching her deal with the vampire politics that go along with her new status was also something I enjoyed. It's too bad that this is possibly the last book in the series just when Alexander seems to be coming into her own as a writer. As we know Edie has become a daywalker and is with child. Edie will do everything she can for her child. You will see just how far she will go in this book. I loved song this side of Edie and watching her without everyone else. Edie was on her own for most of this book in a new place trying to just stay alive. You watch her grow as you read. It is fast pace and has certain situations that you would never see just happening for her. Loved it!
I am sad to learn this is the last Edie Spence novel. It is my favorite UF series by far.
