As is usual with Ms, Sala's books this one sucked me in and didn't let me go until I finished it, about 4 hours later. It was a very good book with an unusual plotline that was handled really well. I am impressed by the compassionate way Ms Sala deals with the often horrible situations her characters find themselves in. I love how the Mike, the hero, in "Blown Away" was always there to support Cari, the heroine, but allowed her to make her own choices and do what she felt needed to be done. Cari was a strong woman with enough sense to know when she needed help. She definitely wasn't a "too stupid to live" girl who needed a man to "rescue" her. I really liked both of these characters! Enough basic info was given in this book about the plots of the other books to make me look forward to reading them as soon as I can! I'm not really use to reading these type of books. It's more of an action/crime book, which I usually avoid but for some reason, the book called to me. So I read it and to be honest, I loved it. It was full of action and suspense. The girl hero was quick thinking and did the right thing, same with the male hero. I gave it 5/5 stars and I'd recommend everyone read it. It's reasonably short, so it only took me 30-45 minutes to read it.
What do You think about Blown Away (2010)?
Excellent; can't wait to read the next one in this series.

The idea is great. The execution not so much.
