Franklin cajoled, whined, and finally demanded that she stop work on the collection. She refused, infuriating him even more. Eventually she called her lawyer to let him know of the harassment and had him handle it. When the phone calls stopped she breathed a sigh of relief and continued to work with Tyce and Jason. Cars were leaving for Arizona daily, each one a reminder that soon she’d be leaving too. The fact that she didn’t want to move away anymore weighed heavily sometimes. Other times, she set her feelings of doubt aside and resolved to enjoy the time with Tyce. She couldn’t deny she was in love with Tyce all over again. Probably had been for all those years apart, she realized as she waited for him to come to bed one night. He was doing his window and door lock check. He’d noticed her nerves were shot and he put it down to living here alone. She hadn’t told him about Franklin because she wasn’t used to sharing her problems.
