I was looking for an inspirational Christmas story to add to my seasonal reread list - this was NOT that book. I wanted to like this, but just couldn't.What little wisdom it offered was over-shadowed by the flat characters and poor writing. I expect Christmas stories to have a happy ending, this particular ending was clichéd, predictable, and STILL bad.To be fair, you should give it a chance, and maybe you'll get something from it that I didn't. But my advice is to not get your hopes up. I didn't want to read this book. I don't like Glenn Beck. But my book club was reading it, so I did too. To be honest, I didn't want to like it. But I was hooked on the honesty of Eddie's feelings and responses. The Russell character was a little too strange for my taste, but I could live with that. Eddie was real. I was ready to give this book 4 stars - right up to the end. What a cop-out. I so wanted the author to deal with real-world issues of forgiveness and restoration. Instead, I got a Bobby Ewing shower scene. And I didn't like that the first time.
What do You think about Božićni Pulover (2009)?
Easy holiday read. Predictable storyline but entertaining.
