Surprisingly good. I thought with only 79pg the story might seem rushed or even choppy, but it’s not. Nicole Ashe enters the dark aspects of the world as she begins working for Ethan in his detective agency. On the job she meets vampire Alec and is instantly drawn to him. A secret Nicole didn’t even know comes out as their attraction increases… one that could get her killed.79 pagers was enough to get me hooked to the series! Quick read, only about 100 pages on my Sony e-reader. Its the start of a new series but I don't know when the 2nd will be out. The book definitely set up the story for future books. I choose it because it was about 2 of my fav things: vamps and rock musicians. Had very little to do with hero being rocker however. Nicole who seems to be a regular mortal women seeks out Alec - the rocker vamp - to help her boss, also a vamp, find the place where vamps can be in the light and then to free her boss from the bad vamp who has knowlege of the place of light. Along the way Nicole and Alec fall in love, Alec leaves her for her own good (seems I've read this before), and we find out about Nicole's past and how it affects the current situation. The book doesn't end on a cliff hanger but it does set up future books involving Nicole and Alec's fight against the bad vamps and search for the light.
What do You think about Born To Darkness (2011)?
It was a little less clear than I like my books to be. But it was a fun and fast read.
