Brainy And The Beast (2013) - Plot & Excerpts

Overall, this book was well written, with no typos (that I noticed anyway) and there were a few terms that may have been overly used. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me. I liked Nick as a character, but I never connected with Henry. It was like I kept waiting for a big reveal where I’d finally see the real him… but that never came. The story line is subtle. There is conflict, but it’s not huge, and it is resolved relatively quickly. I think I got the most enjoyment out of one of the subplots, though that really didn’t come into play until the last 20% of the book. And then, it didn’t feel completely resolved. Loved this book! Usually when it's a jock & geek story, the geek is all uncoordinated, low self esteem, and not ready to come out of the closet. But he has some endearing qualities that the popular person is attracted to. Not this time! The "brain" is a genius, well put together, and is rather sure of himself. The "beast" thinks he's not so smart (even though he runs a successful business), a kind of a loser, and is embarrassed his father lives with him (even though it's to help take care of his nephew his sister abandoned). These two are so cute together! Compliment each other well. And when the "brain" takes charge in bed....Smokin'!!

What do You think about Brainy And The Beast (2013)?

I couldn't even begin to give a crap about any character.
