While I agree with others that there could have been more detail, I felt it did a good job for what it was, a short introduction to a longer story. This is the first of a four part series and a nice rainy day read. The characters are likable and the full story shows a lot of promise. I especially like the wounded soldier angle. If you’re looking for a quick afternoon read this isn't a bad option. This was a very quick read that left me wanting more. It didn't feel like a complete book, but a portion of a larger story. Emily's backstory was never explained beyond the inference of someone dying months back, and the end left us hanging as to what happened next. There were large opportunities for character development, but everything felt skipped over - as if her grief and his trauma were resolved in a heartbeat. Since this story is only 30 pages or so, it felt much more like a chapter than a book in itself.I know this is part of a series, but to me, a series should be several books that each tell their own story. This was just a portion of a story that left me disappointed.
What do You think about Broken Soldier (2013)?
This is a nice romantic read, not much erotica in the story but nice for a quick read.

It's listed as erotic romance....there was no erotic romance just chemistry.
