Brotherhood Of The Strange (Kingship, Tales From The Aether Book 1) - Plot & Excerpts

Their field upon which the Kingship landed was stationed next to the large open air market which was the business hub of the town, and the entire region. While much of global trade occurred on uplands, scattered towns such as Oppenau were jumping-off points for those goods which were still manufactured primarily on the ground. Ships came from all over to ply their wares and take care of business and trade. While there were many areas like this that dealt in black market, contraband, or other forms of illicit activity, the citizens of Oppenau took pride in the fact that little, if any such behavior was tolerated within its extensive city walls, walls that had first been built to keep out the werewolves, vampires and other monsters no longer confined to myth and children’s story books. Wingnut walked on the captain’s arm through the cobblestone streets admiring the blend of bavarian, gothic, and medieval architecture as she did on each and every one of their visits. Though the buildings of Tullamore bore little resemblance to Oppenau, she admired the quaintness and was almost transported back to her hometown.
