Bunny Days (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

This book is currently one of my favorites for pre-school children. The art is the main draw with it being some of the cutest I've seen in a long time. Basically you get stories where something happens to the bunnies because of Mr. and Mrs. Goat. The Bear then fixes whatever is the issue. The look on the bunnies' faces are priceless. Most children will find what happens to the bunnies funny, and at the same time be delighted when at the end "Everyone is happy".There was someone who complained about the troubles the bunnies get into. I have not only my masters for being a Librarian, but a Psychology one as well. You will find nothing that will scar your child in this. Personally, I am buying this for my own personal bookshelf for storytime. I thought this book was rather disturbing. First, the bear puts the bunnies in the washing machine to clean them...definitely not safe. Then Mrs. Goat vacuums them up...slightly disturbing to see the bunnies vacuumed up from their safe, happy home while they napped. Finally, Mr. Goat cuts off the bunnys' tales! This book really bothered me. Maybe some people would think it was light and funny, but I didn't find it to be so at all. I found it bothersome.

What do You think about Bunny Days (2010)?

I don't usually mark children's books that I've read, but this is just too funny. Read it!

So charming, but still so funny. Tae Nyeu has so many clever jokes in the illustrations!
