I thoroughly enjoyed this book, not as much as his debut novel but it is up there. The mix of history, mysterey and murder create a strong storyline and the twist of at the end turns everything on its head. The incorporation of science and religion into a mystery of evolution makes for a great story and the idea of what we are gets you thinking on what owuld happen in real life if it turned out we were not we think we are.The villian in this novel is not one I would want to meet in a dark street, I do not want to be nibbled on!Good Book! =] Did really like the story, it was exciting, good writing style and plot. Only thing was that it was a bit too gruesome, the deaths, the killings. I didn't really understand why the big badass guy who was Amy's ex (forget his name) was such a scary badass, and how it was possible he followed David and Amy all that way to everything...It would have worked well in a movie I guess but in the novel, it could have done with more explanations.
What do You think about Cagot (2010)?
I liked this book alot. it wasn't as grotesque as the first one, but still a good book.

While I could have done without some of the scenes, it was a good book.
