This book reminded me a lot of this series I read along time ago, but I can't remember what it was called. I really enjoyed this book. It wasn't rushed or spaced out with boring events, and the ending was so sad, that I want to continue reading the series to find out what happened. Ugh such a cliff hanger! The story was very well put together, and I was interested from the moment I started reading. I just hope the other books are as good, or better! The story of the human Aurora and the vampire Jessie Vanderlind.I gave this book a 2.5 star rating because it think its amateaur writing. Twist needs more improveent in the storytelling depratment. The only thing that kept me going was that at least the story was different from other vampire books ive read.Characters are....meh. Jessie isn't drool worthy at all. Not alpha male material. Aurora, at least is smart. I really dont understand how he falls in love with her when there wasn't so much going on in the story. It sort of lacks details on how they became to be. It was like they met, fell in love, end of story.Worse, reading the second book (yes, i read it because i want the author to redeem herself) I felt like she should have just made the 1st & 2nd book into just one book.
What do You think about Call Of The Vampire (2013)?
Very intriguing book. I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was a good book but was a bit slow paced.
