Captured With His Pregnant Mate (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This series was a different take on the werewolf story. They had luna wolves that the omega male could get pregnant by the alpha lunar. They shared strength between them and the omega could give power through touch to his mate. I know I was an omega there would be no children from me, The Alpha cuts the baby out with his claw. Sound so painful.In the first book you meet Roarke O’Neil is an alpha luna werewolf, he has been captured by a group of werewolves that want to use him in the pit to fight until death. Westley and omega is being held there by this group. Westley is already pregnant by another. I was surprised on how much I enjoyed this book. I will finish the series next month, This wasn't a bad read. The story was interesting, the characters were likable and the plot flowed decently. The reason I didn't rate it higher was because of all the pointless sex... with a pregnant mate!Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that being pregnant means no sex but the drive to have sex is based in the drive to reproduce. The idea that these two shifters would HAVE to go at it - no matter WHAT was happening - even though the one man was already pretty far along just didn't sit right with me. Also, if a character is pregnant, I expect them to have the good, bad and ugly of the situation and there wasn't any realism to it.
