Read the Breathtaking Boxed Set edition. This is the first book I've read by this author. I really liked Cassie. She had such a quiet way about her that contrasted to Shane's over the top cowboyness. What's not to love about a cowboy? I read this before Blake and Reese's story, but this was my favorite of the two. Though I read it out of order, I think reading the brothers' stories would make this one much more full.Cassie is part of a jury where the witnesses are dropping off dead. She is sent to a ranch to be protected by Shane, who I totally loved. The danger is not really part of this particular story. Shane's family are close and I liked the way they look out for each other. There is definitely a creepy part that made me spider itchy the rest of the day. If you don't own a pair of cowboy boots, you'll want some now. I found this story very cute and it definitely had a lot of chemistry. There was some physical wants that were suggested. I would have still liked it to be a little longer in the relationship and that there would have been more dialogue built between them. There was more "wants" discussed in the book than Cassie and Shane discussing life and building more of a relationship. I did find the book very likable.
Loved this book. I will have to get the next book in this series.
