What do You think about Castle Hill (2013)?
Ok I am raising my hand here and standing up and grabbing the microphone to say the Joss is a whiny beyotch. She has got issues and I get it. Your whole family dies and therefore your personal life-long luggage is that you are not good enough to be loved because at some point karma might bite you on your hiney and snatch everything away... I get it. We all have some issue or another that leaves us feeling vulnerable. For Joss hers is that through the loss of her parents and sister she feels guilty and maybe not a little unworthy. Granted she is a kinda Amazonian kick-asstress but it's pretty much to hide her deeper emotional chocolatey center and by never getting close to anyone, she won't run the risk of losing anyone else. So as we all know (who are fans of this series) she finally snags Braden Carmichael who is all ozzy, hot male on a hoof and he does the impossible. He lands this whale. He breaks her down and busts through. Castle Hill is the book that tells a story of what happens when HEA is not quite what one of the couple envisions by way of a little surprise that takes Joss offguard.IMO, the book was hot, Joss and her "tude was not so much. I mean for cripes sakes she should have just lived in sin with Brae and then she wouldn't be knotting herself up over what ifs but then we wouldn't get much of a book would we. At the end I really enjoyed this book because basically she gets her house in order and locks her shit down and soldiers on in spite of her manna from heaven. She has a new hubby who adores her and fucks like a racehorse, she has good friends and by the end of the book she has her worthiness stash in place. It was a quick read and while not my favorite in the series a nice compliment to it.
