This author is so hilarious (and serious and just altogether amazing), I don't know how she managed to infuse so many references in naturally. It's not a constant stream of "Earth was so much worse/better/different because of XYZ" but simply enough to give you something to base your imagination on. And that's only sometimes! A lot of the references helped pull the reader's emotional strings - I was played like a fiddle, no lie - be it happiness, sadness, loneliness, etc. It was really nice seeing where Cass (and everyone else) ended up. I wish things were a little different for Cass (mostly thinking of Sen&co) but I'm glad she's happy. The author was generous enough to include a lot of falling action/epilogue (thank you!). Still want to get the Gratuitous Epilogue but totally blew all my money for the next few months :( so it'll have to wait! I just finished the series, and Can I just say this book makes A lot of Syfy books/movies/series look like amateur work. I mean, the amount of LOGICAL AND IMPORTANT DETAILS that the author presented make this story a complete reading pleasure. the lead character is one of the best I've read and.... I CAN'T PRETEND I KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE HER. ( I have to admit her description of Taarel made me fall for her). it was simply . sublime writing and presentation. The stories evolved exactly like it should've. And the it was pefect from start to finish. (Love, relationship, friendship, loss, action, enemy, death, danger, humor, understanding, compassion... and so much more)'
What do You think about Caszandra (2011)?
4.5/5Lovely ending! A proper HEA. Review coming...
