I love knowing how a book will end but I want some surprises thrown in for good measure. There is nothing better in a love story. The characters were wonderful. Even the antagonists were! This author really peaked my interest in her future books. I am excited to see what she has planned next. The plot was well thought out and the chapters ebbed and flowed with ease. However, after healing her Tane tied Connie to him making her his blood slave. Rurik cannot satisfy her hunger and decides he must take her to Tane to save her. The last thing Connie wants to do is be around Tane. She hates him and doesn't trust him. However, soon they learn someone is after Tane and they will use Connie to get to him. Now Connie finds herself drawn to Tane as well as Rurik. Tane protects them both and seems to be drawn to the couple. Connie will learn the lengths she will go to in order to protect her vampires.In the first book I didn't like or trust Tane, have to say now I love him as well as Rurik. They are very different but still so wonderful. As strange as it may seem these three just make sense together, they are a family. The action and suspense in catching who is after Tane is a real page turner. You will not be able to put this book down. And you do not want to miss the ending, it is HOT!
