I found this encounter with Gideon and his love Eva, extremely hard going.There are so many different characters being entwined into the story, it's a very hard read. It's almost brings on a migraine just keeping,on,top of all the story lines.Really not much progress actually takes place in the relationship as it really,is too muddled in with several other meaningless stories.I found this a desperate attempt to keep the series going.In my opinion, this should have been a trilogy, cut out all the nonsecal secondary stories and keep with the main two. It's a shame, the first two books held real promise, but now............. It pains me to say this, because I really am a fan of Sylvia Day, but... eh. My initial feeling that the Crossfire series should have been wrapped up in three wonderful books rather than stretched out into a long series of what threatened to be less and less engaging books was correct.Sylvia Day's talent showed through in a scattering of engaging scenarios and occasionally riveting dialogue, but on average this book was a case study in the day-to- day marital insecurities between Eva and Gideon. It read more like a Young Adult book than anything else I've read by Sylvia Day, and that was disappointing.
