Wow... I was completely shocked...When I read Throne of Glass, I developed a sort of hate for it. Celaena pissed me off, and I was tired of hearing how bad ass she was with out actually seeing it. I was also tired of hearing how perfect and great she was supposed to be. However, my friends convinced me to continue with the series and even read the novellas and... wow... I was not disappointed. Rather than acting like a whiney brat, Celaena was AMAZING! I loved it sooooooo sooooooo sooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As someone who loves the Throne of Glass Series so far, reading these novellas helps give you more while waiting for the next book. The Assassin and the Pirate Lord shows Celaena before we meet her in Throne of Glass. These are her missions while being part of the Assassins before her life disintegrates before her eyes. We get to see her being impulsive and stubborn like she always is. This novella is how she has to meet the man who sold his soul for a map on his hands, with the magic gone his map is useless, but she will do anything she can to destroy the slave trade he is part of. I really enjoyed this.
What do You think about Celaenas Geschichte 1 (2013)?
This was a great novella! And based on this short story, Sam appears to be an awesome character!

Excellent, nice to get some back story into the strong female assassin I've come to love.
