This book was sadly a let down. The first half was great and enjoyable but then the second half spiraled into a bad Hallmark movie. One of the characters even commented that and it was so true. I also didn't care for how quickly the main character decided to remarry. In a matter of a week?! And she has children to consider? There was also way too much kissing for a Christian novel and about the Christian theme? It was very Christian light. Thrown in there but no real evidence of the characters actually communing with God in thought or action. The ending was so strange. It knocked a 4 star down to 3. I DO like how the author writes and I would read her again because she is talented but I am not interested in finishing this series, even with the cliff hanger at the end. This book surprised me. It was a free download first of all, they can be pretty lame. Then it was Christian fiction, which can also be pretty "too good to be true" kind of stories. So I wasn't expecting to like this that much. I was pleasantly surprised. The story just sucked me in. It wasn't overly cheesy nor did it make me roll my eyes with sweetness. It was a good book about a pretty real and common situation. The love story did move a little fast, but that was really all I can complain about. Pretty good little book.
I think what redeems this book for me is the fact that it is a beach book. It is ok...
