two stars seems almost too harsh. I didn't actively dislike it, but didn't really enjoy it either. it was just - meh. Abundant typos and odd turns of phrase, which had me frequently wondering, "was that another typo, or did she write that sentence like that on purpose?" I knew when I started the book that the premise sounded a little cheesy, but I enjoy cheesy and was hoping it would be a fun, light read. Unfortunately, it just felt slight and undeveloped. I never felt any connection to the characters. Great love story set in North Carolina, parts are in Raleigh and others are in the mountains. Descriptive adult relationship but nothing graphic. Can't wait to see how the story continues, definitely another book coming.Love the Samantha Chase Fan page on Facebook to find out special details and teasers about books. THERE IS a New Release Coming in March! picking up where this leaves off.
What do You think about Christmas Cottage (2012)?
Lackluster story, terrible writing, and even worse grammar. Why did I read it? I have no idea...
