Cinder And Ella (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

Was an interesting take on the classic Cinderella story. Two girls by the names of Cinder and Ella are left to care for the family when their father disappears. Cinder takes care of her other sisters as Ella cannot seem to be that kind. After Cinder leaves the home to work at the castle, Ella leaves and finds a family that take her in and she does various jobs for them. However the evil prince wants these two sisters for some reason and they are then forced to battle this evil prince. Some say the ending was poorly written but I felt that given the age group, it was written alright. Would've been a bit better if there was more of a battle between the prince and Tanner, one of the castle knights who falls for Ella. Seemed too short. But all in all it was a good book. This book was a very good book. It was a very easy read and it gave me something fun to do. I really enjoyed that it was about 2 characters, but it was kind of like the disney Cinderella in a way. I liked how the author made the book in many different perspectives. I am glad she did that so I knew what different characters were thinking in a certain situation. This book was full of adventure, a little romance, and some magic. It was very entertaining and kept me on my toes throughout the book just waiting to see what would happen in the next chapter. It had very unexpected twists and I had no idea what was going to happen next. After reading this book, I would for sure read it again!
