Click To Subscribe (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

I absolutely loved this book (with all of my heart)!!! One day in the morning I started to read it and I just couldn´t stop, I didn´t even bother myself thinking "just one more chapter" because I wanted to know what would be West´s final decision, I loved every single part of the story even when I definitely HATED West´s attitude, like when he told Cat a simple word outside the coffe shop "No", srsly, I wanted to kill him!! And these are some of my favorite quotes from the book:- "Milk and cereal go flying everywhere and I'm sure I look like the breakfast equivalent of the Cookie Monster, but I don´t care" (I think that comparison was funny).- "Hey West?" Cat calls when I come back down, opening the front door. "Yeah? "You´re he best birthday present anyone can ask for" (Now, that was sweet!!)- "Well, sometimes love is rght in front of you the whole time, even if you don´t realize it. And, like yur blog, all you have to do is click to subscribe."I raise an eyebrow. "That´s a terrible metaphor." (ha!)- "I always told ou that when I fixed up that Mercedes, I'd take the boy of my dreams here." She turns to me, her blue eyes sparkling. "And I was right." Then she leans in, and with the sun shining on our backs, our lips lock. (I adsolutely am in love with these final lines!!) I really wanted to like this book. I really did. Unfortunately, it didn't click with me as it did for many others. I've seen awesome reviews of this everywhere but I just didn't like it at all.The dilemma in this story is the romance. West aka Sam Green loves this girl he knows through his vlog channel, who reveals herself as West's best friend, Cat, when they met in real life. This leads to a lot of emotional turmoil as he just can't accept his best friend as the love of his life. I found West really whiney and a lot of times, I really wanted to slap him in the face. He didn't have a teenage boy voice at all (at least not to me). He was a bit of a drama queen and I didn't really care for his relationship with Cat at all. There was also this side thing about his relationship with his father thrown in. I found it completely irrelevant and his dad just got completely better at the end of the story. Unbelievable. West never even interacted much with him and just complained about him. He had a really bad attitude towards his dad throughout this whole story and his dad just magically got better. I didn't find anything in this story worth my time. I feel like it's suppose to be one of those "feel-good" books but it just didn't connect with me. It got so many great reviews as well but it was just really disappointing for me.

I liked the idea, but I just didn't like the way it was executed.
