What do You think about Cluster (1977)?
I first read this book from the library as a young teen. Recently, I bought a used copy, since a few of the ideas have stuck with me over the years (mostly transfer of consciousness). I remembered to expect Piers Anthony's typical focus on sex, and likewise his flawless hero.I consider Anthony a diehard Mary Sue, but he is a decent writer and Cluster is a good piece of fluff if you are in the mood for such. His descriptions of alien worlds and cultures, as well as their reproductive specifics, is imaginative and interesting. He also incorporates snippets of Greek mythology as they relate to constellations, as his hero travels across the galaxy.
