4.5 STARSGripping & H.O.T - I absolutely love this series!!!!Coherent did not disappoint, I still have a huge crush on Peyton Haas ;)After waking up in the hospital and realising that the man she loves and her friends don't believe her when she says she was taken & drugged, Braelynn's world starts spiralling out of control. Hurt and angry, she just wants to forget and welcomes the numbness that only drugs can provide. Fooling everyone around her she disappears, deciding she needs some time to herself not realising that the consequences could be deadly. This book took a dramatic turn from the first instalment as Braelynn completely looses herself in any way she can in order to feel numb. Peyton is helpless and doesn't even know where to begin when it comes to his relationship with Braelynn. Even though things have changed for both Peyton and Braelynn, neither of them can deny the feelings they have for one another whenever they are together.Coherent shows the darker side of drugs and how it can affect those close to someone who is caught in the cycle of using. While some situations Braelynn finds herself in are a little confronting I felt her struggles were very realistic. Will she be able to crawl out of the darkness and find peace with the only man she's ever loved or will he have to force her out of the darkness? While I was left feeling lighter and happy with where the story was finished, I'm so excited that Peyton & Braelynn's story isn't over and can't wait to read the next book!!!! Coherent is book two in the Consensual series. It can not be read as a standalone. You need to read book one Consensual first. Coherent picks up where Consensual left off. At the end of Consensual we were left with a cliffhanger. In Coherent we find Braelynn, dealing with everything that has happened with very little support from the ones who love her. She makes some tough choices that aren't very good. Braelynn struggles with things in this story. She was very strong and confident in Consensual and in Coherent she losses herself for a bit. Peyton isn't an angel in this one either, he makes some good and bad choices. Peyton and Braelynn have a long hard road ahead of them. Coherent is very well written and it takes you on a bumpy ride through Peyton and Braelynn's life.
What do You think about Coherent (2000)?
The love story between Peyton and Lynn is beautiful. Love is persistent and defies all odds.
