Loved it! Sexy, sweet, sad and emotional. It was much better than I expected. Trace and Taryn are complex and passionate about their music; Trace is a rapper and Taryn is a country singer. They first meet at the Grammys where they are both up for two awards. He wins one, and she the other. Fate throws them together to "collaborate" a love song together. Neither one likes the idea of singing a song that they haven't written but they end up changing the song and completing it together. Taryn is pleasantly surprised by the fact that Trace can play several instruments and he can actually sing. Trace is mesmerized by Taryn's angelic voice. Then they have to shoot a music video for the song and hello sexy.......Anyway, I enjoyed the book. It was paced just right. There were a few unexpected events but I still loved it! I really enjoyed this read. This look into the world of celebrity was unique and unlike any that I have read before, in that both the hero and heroine were famous entertainers in their own right. Not only that, they both were singers, but with completely different genres: he in rap and she in country; he's black, she is white, yet with all these differences, they had an intense bond. I liked that the authors made a concerted effort to show the difficulties and challenges facing this couple, yet I felt that the story could have been even richer, if they delved a little deeper into the societal and celebrity issues complicating their relationship. All in all, it was an enjoyable read, with the right amount of angst, intimacy and yes music (love how the video links to the different songs were woven into the story). If you enjoy celebrity romances, I think that you will enjoy this read as I did, and maybe the authors will consider a story for Taryn's friends Regina and Ryder, could be a good one.
