A Poet a cop and a lot of crazy makes this Lanyon tale a fun read. Professor Sebastian Swift our poet who is also a recovered addict who's from old money and fame. A Professor at a local college he is judged by co-workers because of his past. And is now drawn in by a favorite student into a murder case. His sexy boyfriend Max Prescott the chief of police in the town tries his best to keep Swift in line and out of danger.Oh did I mention he recites choose-your-own-adventure at the beginning of each chapter. Crazy.A must read but I don't need to say that it is Josh Lanyon.I listened to the audiobook and the read was perfectly matched. And once again Josh Lanyon has written a story with character which just seem so real they are ready to step off the page. Swift, the child of literary icons, has struggled in the limelight his entire life. His world has fallen to pieces before, but the consequences of one decision could unravel the life he has spent years constructing out of the ashes of his previous failings. I adored Swift and his relationship with Max was fabulously constructed
it took a while for me to get into it... but when I did... I was a believer :)
