The men were already in bed. Evie was the straggler, needing more time in the shower than either man. Nervous and excited about the invitation into Ford’s room, she’d freshly shaved her legs and after the shower had made sure her hair was completely dry. She had a hunch Ford wasn’t as cavalier about wet pillows as she was. Wearing only a robe and panties, ready to crawl into bed nearly naked and curl up with the two hot men, Evie hesitated with her hand on the doorknob. She couldn’t bring herself to open the door. Heart hammering with anxiety, she turned and paced to a nearby chair, set in a hallway alcove. What was wrong with her? There were two gorgeous men in that room probably spooning each other right at that moment, and she had an invitation to snuggle in between them for the night. Her toes curled in pleasure at the thought, yet she couldn’t go in. Sinking into the chair, she pulled her legs onto the seat and hugged her knees.
