This is the best of the three in this series so far. Morgan Kingsley has a tendency to be pretty abrasive, which can get tiring in a hurry, but in this one, it seems like she's finally learning to come to terms with the shit that's been happening to her. Not that she's ever going to be happy about it, but she's learning to cope, so some of the antagonism is fading. She's still a pretty kick-ass, hardcore character, and that's probably not going to change, so if you hated her in books 1 or 2, you should probably give up on the series. If you just found her somewhat annoying, keep reading -- they're getting better. I especially like the way Ms. Black is drawing out the story. Every book is complete in and of itself (although there's enough plot carry-over that I'd really recommend reading them in order), and in each new book, we learn more and more about the over-arching plotline of the demon war. I can't wait to see how it all turns out, but if she takes 2 or 3 more books to get there, I'm all for it. =)
What do You think about Confiance Aveugle (2010)?
I like Jenna Black. I like the other books in this series. This wasn't the best.
