I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book in the Conklin’s Blueprints Trilogy. Tyler and Becca are the two main characters. Both are beautiful, rich, and broken. *No spoilers* Becca moved back home after her boyfriend cheats on her with her friend Ashlynn. She takes a job working for Tyler's family business and so begins their shaky romance. The conflict comes from Becca being a bit weak (whiny) and Tyler needing to man up and admit to his family he wanted to be with Becca. She was insecure, but her boyfriend cheated on her and Tyler keeps her a secret. I could feel her pain. He had personal demons, pain that ran deep. I could feel his pain too. I went back and forth, between liking and disliking each of them, but without conflict and struggle, there would be no story to tell. There was loads of passion. Loads. There was definitely chemistry between them. The secondary characters were awesome, especially Jamie who was unquestionably loyal to Becca. Although Ashlynn was a great bad girl, definitely slap-worthy. And, the parents....his dad, her mom - selfish, judgmental. I want to slap them too!Great writing, lots of feels. It's a cliffhanger, sort of...looking forward to book 2. The first few chapters really drew me in, then it just went down hill. Suffice to say it kept me intrigued. It was ok despite an annoying, whiney and most of all insecure doormat heroine. Effing hell she deserves a nomination for the most doormat heroine of all time. Who the hell stays friends with your supposed best friend who schemes her way in getting your bf in bed. Anyhow, there's two more books in this series and I just don't think I can deal with stupid unnecessary filler dramas.
What do You think about Conklin's Blueprints (2013)?
This is one of the best book series I have read in a long time.. Couldn't put it down!!
