Claire, an eleven-year-old from upstate New York, is going to be in a royal wedding. Her cousin, a British commoner, is going to marry a prince. This is clearly happening in England with I guess a semi-fictitious royal family, they are only ever referred to by their titles, and it does seem as if she is marrying the heir. So if you can set all that aside, this is cute chick lit with a light romance for Claire, a mysterious evil trying to break up the royal couple, and a happy ending. This book is about a girl named Claire. Her cousin Belle is going to get married to the Prince of England! After a long wait, the time has come that she will go to England and attend her wedding. There is a downward point in this book when another junior bridesmaid is trying to sabotage the wedding. Claire suspects that Pandora is trying to ruin the wedding so her and her new friends investigate and find out what happens. The prince's ex-girlfriend crashes the bridal shower and Belle doesn't want to get married anymore. Claire finds a way to get them back together and fixes what Pandora and Great Aunt C. has done. It was a fairy tale ending.I picked up this book because when i was at the library and I didn't know what to read. So i came across this book and it looked interesting. Also, i read the first couple of pages and it seemed ok so I read it.I finished this book because I really liked how this book was going. It had a little mystery in it which kept me entertained and I wanted to know what would happen in the end. Would Belle not get married or get married? And i got my answer. She got married.I would recommend this to girls because it is more on the girls side because of what happens in the book. That is why I would recommend this book to girls.
What do You think about Cordially Uninvited (2012)?
This is a really cute book about an 11 year old attending her cousin's royal wedding.
