Good sequel to Fireflies in December (which I loved!). The Christian theme of this one was more noticeable than in the first book, but doesn't overwhelm you. There were times though when I skimmed towards the end because there were "preachy" parts that didn't add much to the story for me. But I still love the characters and found myself wanting to know the rest of their story when the book ended. There's a 3rd book in the series that I'll probably read eventually! Four years later, Jessi, Luke, and Gemma have different trials to overcome. The characters are strong with a sense of justice, loyality, commitment and sacrifice. When misunderstanding come between friends, the truth prevails and hearts must decide to be bitter or to heal. Love these characters from the 1930; where families love well because they share in the struggles of life with faith in a sovereign God.
Second book in the trilogy, loved it, such a good story and well told!!
