I couldn't really relate to the main character. Natalya never DID anything, she was just there, with all her issues and everyone else had to do the work. At every fight she seemed to go unconscious within a few seconds and one of her friends had to rescue her. I liked the general world-building and the supporting characters were pretty well thought through. It would be interesting to know how the ageing for werewolves works - they are apparently long lived but seem to reach adulthood at a human rate? This started out a bit dodgy as the prologue basically featured a bit of a sex session - although it wasn't overly explicit. The thing is, when a book starts with sex, I think "ho hum, this is going to be boring". I feel this because I figure if a book has sex right at the beginning, it's because the story is going to be crap to non-existent, and probably just a sex-fest. That means to me, it's going very probably trite, shallow with no real creativity and no real imagination.OK, I shall be pleased to say here, I was wrong. OK, I'll say it again, yep, I was wrong.I like the main character and her vast amount of insecurities and phobias. When I worked for a while in Functions & Banquets at bit hotels, I went by the name of Phoebe: all the lads nick named me Phobia. It was a joke because I'm a touch eccentric and idiosyncratic. The tale warmed up in a great way and all up it was good, the imagination was there, and the dire circumstances of romance where the opposition gets right up your nose.I'm going to pretty much move on to the next novel.
What do You think about Coveted (2012)?
This is one of the best books I've ever read!! Didn't want to put it down!

I read this book after the second installment, Kept. Loved them both.
