Rating- 4.6 STARS!REVIEW- I want to start this review off by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed Creatura. The pace of the story was constantly altering, not once diverting my attention. The storyline was exceptional and different. I loved how Nely Cab has shown the portrayal of Gods' in a different light, and how the line between humans and Gods is very blurry. Her language, especially, was terrific. The way this story is written is authentic and original. I loved the storyline! Also, the characters were carefully designed, and fit the story perfectly. While I quite liked the character of Isis, my favourite character was Eryx. I liked his subtle yet strong personality, and the way he reacted to all the situations described in the book. On the other hand, I had a slight bit of hesitation with David's character. Maybe this is because he proves a lot of feminist theories right. His possessiveness and tendency to control things really irritated me. However, Cab made up for David's ego, by his romantic gestures towards Isis. One character that confused me was Nyx. While I liked her throughout the book, towards the end, I wasn't so sure anymore of her intentions. This made me even more impatient to read the sequel and know more about her character. In addition to the characters and language, another aspect of the novel which made it more captivating was that, one fact that the main character wasn't aware of, was quite obvious to the audience. It gave a nice thrill to know something the main character didn't. Overall, I really liked this novel. I can't wait for to read the sequel, and have high hopes for it! Received a complimentary copy to read and review. Nely is an amazing writer. I couldn't put Creatura down. It's a page turner. I love the characters and the world that she has created. There are some great twists and turns. We are introduced to Isis. She is one unique person. She can control her dreams but she also finds out some even more interesting things about herself. She sets out to figure out what is happening to her and find out more about her family especially her father. Her friend David goes along with her to help her out. Although there is more to him and his family than meets the eye. The ending is great. It leaves the reader wanting to know about Isis and David. This is one that would be a great addition to any reader's TBR list.
