Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment Of President Barack Obama (2010) - Plot & Excerpts

When I review any current events or political book I know it's pretty sure to stir up some...controversy. I'd suggest that you consider reading this book. I know that its very existence will anger some but on the whole it's nothing more than a litany of facts. Yes there is some opinion and I can't say that in every single case I come to the same conclusion as the writer (though I often already have.). Still most of the book is not opinion it is simple, recorded fact.I suppose I could go over some things in the book, the problem with doing that is that it may give a false impression about the content of the volume. I think in a way it's unfortunate that the book is already out as one of the most startling events of the last 3.5 years has just occurred and is still developing. When President Obama was candidate Obama it seems that a huge portion of the electorate placed on him a sort of "template" of what they wanted to believe about him. Some well known (supposedly) conservative columnists and republicans chose endorse him. These and others simply decided not to take his congressional voting record into account. In spite of one of the most left wing voting records in either house, many, many people proclaimed that if elected candidate Obama would "rule" as a moderate. They chose to ignore his circle of friends, his influences and conclude that, once elected he'd be a moderate.Surprisingly...he didn't. Huh....I could say more but again I think it best to read the book in order and consider it as a whole and in the light of the facts it presents. So, just a suggestion, if you'd like to think about what has occurred the last four years and what it may mean..both in context, for the country in general and for the country in the next four years maybe you could read it? Just a thought. In spite of my conservative viewpoint, and the fact that I pretty much agree with David Limbaugh's assessment of President Obama (a narcissistic, fraudlent, lying, divisive, hyper-partisan, dictatorial, and imperious bully, just to list the chapter subtitles), I found this book a real slog to get through. It's almost 400 pages of specific examples that support all of the adjectives and nouns listed above, plus several others. Maybe I'm not the intended audience for this book - maybe it should be read by those citizens who consider themselves "independents", and are not already predisposed to agree with the author. But after 400 pages, I'm not sure I really learned anything I didn't already know (or suspect), and that's a significant time commitment for little payoff other than positive head-nodding, and no entertainment value to speak of.I've listened to David Limbaugh on several podcasts, and I think he's a strong voice for political conservatism, but I just can't say more about his book than "it was ok", and give it two stars.

What do You think about Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment Of President Barack Obama (2010)?

This is a great book. It confirmed everything I had thought about the political situation.

I give up--I hate this book. He as bad as they say and so much worse.
