Read this book in a couple of days. It's such a sad, disturbing book. It left me wanting more answers. The main lesson is the enormous pain suicide inflicts on everyone affected by it. I won't divulge the ultimate premise of the book but suffice it to day that there is no redemption for those who take this step. I kept thinking the book would make a good movie or already reminded of other movies. A lot of pain in this book This was one of those 'freebies' you get buy when you buy too many books from Amazon...This was a very easy read - considering the subject matter and lessons to be learned it wouldn't seem so.I had trouble buying into the premise of the story - reality (and the story) setting in only on a birthday and only during certain years after his suicide - while the intervening years are all completely lost to his memory. We can certainly afford to take a step back and think about suicide and the impact it has on friends, loved one(s), family, etc. One GR reviewer suggested this book should be read by all teenagers and I agree. A tad too religious for my taste, but the major players and their emotions and struggle to go on are well laid out.It won't hurt you to read this.
One of the nicest and most intriguing books I have read so far. Highly recommended!
