Shades of Honor was a very compelling book with characters that I felt that I really got to understand. The brothers each have many issues that they are dealing with, but still have a bond that holds the family together. Radford comes home after the Civil War with his young daughter and has to deal with his trauma from the war and his feelings of being less than a good father along with having a strong attraction for his brothers fiancée. All the side stories among the brothers and neighbors are engaging and kept me interested in the book. I enjoyed it very much and read several more books in the series and would highly recommend this book. Who couldn't help but fall in love with a handsome tortured hero, a woman uncomfortable in her own skin, and an adorable withdrawn little girl ?This story, set after the civil war, grabbed my attention right from the start. Packed with emotional ups and down, Shades of Honor gives us an insight into the horror of war and how surviving sometimes make one wish they'd died along side those they called friends. It is story of family, forgiveness, and finding the courage to follow your heart's desire, no matter how difficult that may be.After reading the story of Radford Grayson I look forward to the learning about the three other Grayson brothers, who are just as dreamy.
What do You think about Cuestion De Honor (2002)?
Good love story but not a whole lot of history. Very quick read.
