Hope's Crossing and the McKnights are inseparable. They are a strong, brave, wise family, and Thayne does an excellent job of molding them into your heart. Again the main characters were lovable, understandable, infuriating, and had been through a lifetime of pain and disappointment. But still they plugged along, and through it all, you realize what a great family they are. Thayne does abeautiful job of making these characters compelling, believable, and true to themselves. 4 stars. You know what happens when you finish a book and you are on vacation and need something to read so you just pick something up at the local market. Well that is what happened here. I didn't even notice it was a Harlequin Romance until I got into it. Well it only cost $8 so not out that much. Totally inane romance between characters I never actually cared for so didn't care if they ended up together or not.
