the characters in this novel include a villain who is not so villainous, a princess who isn't so perfect, a prince whose armor isn't so nice and shiny, and a queen and king who literally love each other to death. The plot of this story left me laughing at all of the innuendos and cliches that when put together didn't seem so cliche after all. It is a wittingly hilarious novel about how a villain goes about getting a princess when everyone and everything surrounding them is cursed. Hilarious! The fairy tale theme is carried throughout the book, and it is folded, spindled, bent and mutilated. To hilarious effect. Take one over-sexed, out of work, cursed villain and turn him into...the hero! RJ is the one person attempting to solve the murder of Asia's stepsister, Cinderella, but what's a villain to do when the body count is growing faster than you can say Rumplestiltskin? And most of the evidence points to him!Laugh out loud funny, with lots of twists, some truly awful puns, and a Prince Charming exactly the way I, personally, always imagined him to be.Can't wait for the next one!By the way, this is NOT a fairytale for the younger crowd, in case the title didn't give that away.
