Very cute!Little Janie Jane is cute as a button herself, but when she receives a puppy for her birthday, Sir Yips-a-lot is the cutest thing in the whole wide world. They spend the year together, doing all sorts of fun and cute things. At Janie Jane's next birthday she receives a kitten for her birthday, Lady Meow-meow, the cutest kitty in the whole world. Soon, Sir Yips-a-Lot- feels like he is being replaced as the cute one in Janie Jane's life.Forgive me for stating the the obvious here, but this book is very cute. It's perfect for bedtime, as there are lots of details to point out (or not) in the illustrations, and the story is both funny and endearing, with a great message.Cute & Cuter is the tale of when another family member comes along, she doesn't replace the other family members in one's heart, the heart only grows bigger as the family grows. If you know a young child who is expecting a sibling, this is the perfect story to read to him or her! Dare I say it? This is a cute, almost nauseatingly saccharine tale about cute animals. I liked that it helped to show conflict between the beloved pet of the house and a newcomer. But on the whole, this story is nothing but an homage to cuteness. The illustrations are colorful and cartoonish and the narrative is fun to read aloud, although the ending was quite silly. We enjoyed reading this book together.

A cute story showing a puppy becoming jealous when his special friend gets a new cute kitty.

Bleh. Almost like a sugar overload of supposed cuteness.
