The third in the Amish Suspense series by Marta Perry. Libby Morgan left home hoping to never go back, mostly she was running from Adam Byler, the love of her life (a relationship that never happened, but she still uses him as the measuring stick for all other suitors). Libby does return home for two reasons, her brother is getting married and her dear friend Esther Zook, an Amish woman, has been writing worrisome letters. Libby gets in late with just enough time to get settled and participate in the wedding. Esther's news is more urgent than ever and she's hoping to catch up with Libby at the wedding but on the way her buggy is smashed into by a car and she is left near death. Libby and Adam get thrown together to help solve the mystery of who would attack a simple amish woman like Esther, and now why does the attack seem to be focused on Libby. I am a new fan of Marta Perry, read all 4 books in the Brotherhood of the Raven series (or Amish Suspense), this one ended the series well unless there is a future book). I didn't like Libby for most of the book; while I admired her courage standing by her friend, she showed incredible stupidity at times. I loved Adam, Geneva, Link and Marisa, I do wish there was at least one more book, to give Geneva a second chance at love.
