Dangerous Boys And Their Toy (2008) - Plot & Excerpts
This was such an incredible book. It had everything I liked in the right way and amount. Nothing more nothing less. In the end I arched for more. I hadn't read before any book of Shayla Black but Dangerous Boys and Their Toy as a first one, was amazing. It had a great storyline and wicked hot scenes. When I'm reading an ebook from my Kindle, I read two or three chapters, and skip some pages to see when it gets interesting, or I leave it and come back to continue when I feel like it. Well, I finished this book, like, one day. I couldn't stop. When someone talked to me I told them to tell me later because I was so absorbed from it's story. Sure, it was short but it was stunning. It was also funny. How Thorn and Cam were arguing in some scenes, like a couple, instead of searching and hunting down Lawton, their witness who has agreed to testify against his criminal boss.This was the forth book I read about a trio and I think it was the best. The others I read were too much. The amount of the sex and the wicked scenes were too much. So, sometimes, the reader, and me, got bored and annoyed. I insisted the other books to some friends and also this one, and they told me the same. I really waffled between 2 and 3 stars because the writing has to be pretty bad to get 2 stars from me and Ms. Black can write. But the idea that being watched rubbing yourself off without knowing about it and being tied up by a stranger in the middle of the night and still falling insta-in-love with two guys was just too far a stretch for me. I had to suspend all belief and call on the fact that I enjoy a little non-con / dub-con to actually get past those scenes and finish the story. But it was a stretch. Shayla Black is a bestselling author, but this book doesn't really highlight that.
