Okay, 1st off, I'm never one to straight up bash a book. I'm pretty laid back and not exceptionally harsh on the books that I read. If I like it, I like it, even if the story seems over done. I like the story idea of it all, but I can't stand the chapter by chapter format like what she has going here. I read a few books into it and was pretty much done with the way it was going because I don't want to have to buy a book ever half hour! I'm a very fast reader and that's about how long it takes me to finish these books. I liked the story plot and the character, although they seemed to become attached to each other exceedingly fast for my tastes. I was like "Whoa, slow the hell down. Let something blossom first.." If all of these "books" or I guess I would call em, snippets, would just be one book, one story, maybbeeee possibbblllyyy even two, it would be much better and a better read. I'm just finding it to be extremely annoying and am moving on to the next book that looks interesting.. My rating reflects the whole chapter by chapter issue. Not necessarily how it's being released but at the cost of what will be paid to get the end result. If there will even be one. I myself am in the process of writing a novel. I saw myself doing this same thing, not with regards to selling it off by chapter, but the fact that I am a reading addict, and once I pick up a book I can't put it down until it's finished. If I were going to charge by chapter(which I wouldn't make it that microscopic) , it wouldn't be for what some really great authors with amazing books are selling for their entire piece of work. It would be broken down to what I wanted for the entire book. i.e. I want 5 dollars per book ergo my 15 chapter book is .33c per chapter. But mostly likely a subscription deal, like I've read in a previous review, where you pay for the subscription of the book, a one time fee, and it gets released on a scheduled basis. I could see paying .99 for the amount of material out so far(5 chapters), which has been really good. I haven't gotten to book 4 b/c I can't spend that much money for so little content. I like the series Idea again b/c I can get too caught up for my own good in books, and not get anything productive, like my own book, done. I also get that ugh... feeling when I've read them all the way through, and it's like, crap it's over. I wish I had drawn it out more. Mrs. Covington I'm loving your work, I just can't afford it. For those that can, perhaps you could throw in a free chapter every now and then for them.
What do You think about Dangerously Damaged (2000)?
3.5 stars for now since its a weekly series but it had a good start just way too short

A nice beginning. Apparently this is the beginning of a series of shorts.
