This is a quick read. When I read a book I like to go through a journey with the characters. I like to get angry with them when they are being stupid and sad when they hurt and of course happy when they are getting what they want. In this book I found the plot described the things it was supposed to but it was missing something. I got the basics on the main male characters Ryan and Hunter but I did not really have that feeling like I described above. The same goes with Amy. Her father is dead and her mother left and she was hurt. But the drama with that hurt to leave someone she loves because her mother hurt her - why let her win. I guess I just did not feel it.I read this on my e-reader. This one didn't do it for me, but please don't let this review discourage you from giving it a try. I never felt connected to the main characters and I found myself skimming through portions of the book. For instance, there was a scene where Amy went on and on about how much she loved stationary and then we got an in depth description of how she went about making an invitation. *blank stare* Plus, the book synopsis is a bit misleading so I was expecting something else. This is not to say I'd never read another book by this author. I would be willing to read a future effort.
maybe more of a four star rating but I didn't get enough of Ryan...more Ryan time!!!
