Alex is a football player who's forced to stop playing because of an accident.Madison is his girlfriend, who has a terrible past that she can't leave behind her.The two part ways afrter Alex's accident, but fate makes them meet again.I was really involved in the story, especially when they where talking about Madison's foster mother. Not because I have a similar past, just because of the way it's written.I gave it 3 stars because I really enjoyed it but I wouldn't say it was an amazing book. This is book two in the Dare Family series. I believe that you can read this book as a stand alone, but if you read the first book you will have a better understanding of Alex. This book is about Alex and Madison. We met Alex in book one. He is a famous quarterback. Madison is a social worker that we met in book one as well. Alex and Madison had a brief fling, but he pulled away from her when he suffered a career ending injury. He finally realizes his mistake and has to work hard to get back into her good graces. That isn't easy because all of her life Madison has been let down. She has no real family to speak of. This book has a lot of steamy scenes that will get your juices going. I love how Alex doesn't give up. The story flows and you don't want to put the book down. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. We also get to revisit characters from book one and see how their life is going as well.
