I would have given this five stars if it wasn't exactly like the Fae Chronicles. In this story you have Emma who has an unknown power and questionable family origins who falls in love with a highly sexualized dominate womanizing vampire, who can't love, yet is obsessed and doesn't exactly know why.Emma is special and doesn't know why considering she once thought herself to be human...... There's also a transition......story seem familiar???? Regardless, I read a lot and overall, like the fae chronicle and subsequently liked this book as well. If you crave the adventure of vampire and werewolves, the end of the world, and a tough femal- this book is perfect. This book is eerily like what the world is experiencing now. Emma, unknown species to herself, thinks she's human. As the world turns into chaos, she does what her father, a prepper, trained her to do. Who doesn't love a group of bad ass females with masks, slinking through the shadows to scavenger for goods? I was enthralled with is book. I agree with Emma and back away from Jaeden, but can she do it? I, personally, would pair up with the werewolf, but now she is stuck between both to save her brother. I am dying to read the next!!! Beautifully written.
