I'm not sure what to think about this book. It was good -- Samantha Young's YA Paranormal always is -- but it wasn't as epic as the last couple books. It has a lot more character development and long breaks and things like that. I enjoyed it, though, and read through it really fast. I guess I was just expecting a more epic conclusion to the series. But she ties up a lot of loose ends, and we have a lot of good scenes. This book was five stars until the last 100 pages. I had a really hard time putting it down, and I felt like I was cheated out of a climactic ending. It felt rushed and finished abruptly. I am a HUGE fan of Samantha Young. I love everything she has written to date. However, I think it's obvious that her adult novel writing took precedence over finishing this series. With that said, the rest of the book and series makes up for the lack of ending. I loved this series and will continue to be pro Samantha Young. I hope she's not finished with young adult fantasy.

I grew bored with this book. This series should've just ended with this tied into the third book..
