Quick read. I liked Danika from the other books. I wished that this book was longer and gave more of a back story for Malcom, Danika and Conlan. Things moved too fast for me. I'm not exactly sure if it was one day or two days after Danika ran into him at a party wearing a widows sash that they ended up together. I also thought it was really quick considering that Mal & Conlan were once best friends. I also thought their plans of being bonded was done in haste. Who decides to bond themselves to another after being together for less than a week. Read only 16pages and already I am truly saddened by the abject stupidity of Danika . I cannot imagine a Mom with a newborn, going traipsing around and snooping after someone she doesn't know and that she does know the man Is dangerous and a slaver. Why have a character who is timid, a grieving widow with no experience looking into a place she'd ever go to, walk in and get caught. I am Ike this is lame b s.I made myself finish the story, it lacked character development, and the plot was a retread. It had a happy ending for the couple, but as a reader I felt cheated.
